A Little Bit About Me

Hello! Cinnamon Wilbur here! Author, crocheter, and now a chronic illness warrior. These past few years have been quite trying, but I've found that writing has helped me tremendously; and now, I'm ready to share my story in hopes of helping others.
Writing has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn't until this past year that I decided to take the leap and publish my work. Being a fiction writer has helped me more than I could have ever imagined. When I'm having a bad day (whether it be pain, fatigue, or a melt down), I'm able to transport myself to another place. In high school, writing helped me with my depression and eventually allowed me to become a stronger, more independent person.
I'm currently working on several novels: A Place to Fall which is about two friends who discover that they have feelings for each other, but hide them from each other, and sometimes themselves. Chances Are is a witchy novel that follows an outcast as she starts her senior year at a new high school. Everything That I Should Forget is my newest idea and in ways, it's a memoir of sorts with my life and especially my chronic illness life.
While I love writing, I also love crocheting. Ever since I taught myself how to crochet a few years ago, I've been a little obsessed with turning a simple ball of yarn into something beautiful. I even opened a crochet clothing shop: TinyDarlings. In the beginning, crocheting was all that I would do. Now though, with my arthritis, I'm unable to crochet as much as I would like. I'm still able to crochet here or there, but for a while, my shop was closed for business.
Luckily, TinyDarlings is back open (fist pumping and woot wooting)! I was even able to crochet a few items for a family friend who just gave birth to a fabulous little lovely that was too small for preemie clothes.
I try to do everything that I can to appease my overactive imagination and now, my chronic illness. So, I started this blog in hopes of keeping my sanity.
